New Fox Communication Chief

Hope Hicks Named New Fox Communications Chief

A longtime Trump advisor, Hicks served as White House communications director.

Former White House communications director and longtime Donald Trump aide Hope Hicks has been named executive vp and chief communications officer of the new Fox company.

The company on Monday also announced that Danny O’Brien will serve as executive vp and head of government relations for the company that will remain after Disney purchases most of 21st Century Fox’s assets.

“Hope and Danny are proven leaders and world-class public affairs professionals,” said Viet Dinh, chief legal and policy officer, in the announcement. “Together they will define and project Fox’s voice to our relevant communities.”

Hicks, who joined the Trump campaign early on and was considered the president’s most trusted advisor, left the White House at the end of March. At the time, Hicks did not announce her plans for the future, though some had speculated that she could return to the Trump administration in some capacity.

Monday’s announcement did not include comment from Hicks, who rarely speaks to the press even as she served as the primary conduit between the president and the media during her time on the campaign and in the White House.

Hicks, who returned to New York after leaving the White House, will be based in Los Angeles in her new role.

Like Josh Raffel, another White House communications aide who recently landed a new job (as a communications executive for the e-cigarette company Juul), Hicks is a veteran of the PR shop Hiltzik Strategies.

O’Brien joins Fox from GE Transportation, where he served as government relations leader. He previously served as chief of staff for two Democratic senators, Joe Biden and Robert Menendez.

“Fox won’t find anyone smarter or more talented than Hope Hicks,” White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said Monday on Twitter. “So happy for my friend. They are beyond lucky to have you and the East Coast misses you already.”

Why this article??: To all who read the above news alert the announcement has two real serious facts concerning #45 and The Walt Disney Company. There is innate danger in Walt Disney and their hiring of Trump’s confidants Hope Hicks and other Fox News executives. Fox has always been a ultra conservative news agency which means the hiring of those ultra conservative clones doesn’t bowed well for our views of The Walt Disney Company staying aloft from conservative news values. Another major ultra conservative news outlet that has Trump’s hand print is not good when the executive branch of this government has shown their utter contempt for digranting the values of our country. We will be following closely how this merger and appointments of those contemputal individuals have on the future of Walt Disney Company.”
